Thank you! I couldn't agree more. If I am not on the track, then I want my ride to be comfy and supple.
I agree, my GTS in Comfort mode was one of the most comfortable sport car I have owned. I guess as others have mentioned, ride comfort perception is very subjective. My F-Type R ride was so harsh, I got ride of it in 3 weeks, however, my Huracan on Strada mode rides nice and comfortable.
I was hoping to test drive the GTR today and get a feel for the ride, but they said the previous owner cracked the front splitter and the car is now on the lift waiting for new lip and brackets to arrive:-(. It is funny how the MB dealers in DFW area don't let you test drive their new GTRs. I can walk into a Lambo or Ferrari dealer here and test drive anything on their showroom floor.

I realize I have not driven a GTR but I can say we have a GTC.
The GTC is very comfortable. We had a 16 corvette and 06 corvette with the mag shocks before and those rode nice as well. The GTC is slightly more rough over smaller bumps but over larger bumps its more comfy than the corvettes.
Our other current car is a 16 Maybach which is truly the most comfy car I have ever been in. Strangely I have no issues taking the GTC on Long trips. As a matter of fact we drove it from Denver to Florida when we got it...The only comfort issue i have (bigger girl butt) is the seats squeeze me a bit after LONG rides. I found a thin pillow on the seat cushion lifted me a tiny bit and fixed it for long rides.

I can say that my GTR is MUCH more compliant than my wife's E63 Wagon. The wagon is unbelievably stiff. Comfort mode in the wago feels like Race Mode in the GTR.

I have a properly sprung GTS and a properly setup e63s wagon and in no way is the wagon in comfort mode a stiffer ride than my GTS in any mode..

I forgot to mention that earlier this year we had a 2018 Chrysler 300 T model with all wheel drive for a rental. It rode rougher than my GTC by a huge margin. I was so surprised at how rough that car rode.

Set at factory spec shows no difference, I am running factory spec and there is no way the e63s rides harder than my GTS and I run firmer KW springs on it...

My GT R is perfectly acceptable on the street on it’s OEM tyres. I drop the psi to 28 all round instead of the recommended 31, but tend to drive in ‘Sport’ most of the time and drop into ‘Comfort’ if the road is really crappy. I can’t believe that anyone who buys a performance vehicle like the GT R would think the ride isn’t compliant enough for street use. It’s a perfectly usable DD also.

31 front 32 rear cold. Done. For GT-S and GT-C. Don’t know about GT-R. Gas door recommended for USA. Tried other temps. These have the best road feel & compliance.

31Psi F/R is the recommended ‘normal’ pressures for the GT R. Dropping the psi to 28 F/R does not hurt handling but does help ride compliance. I doubt it hurts tyre life either but I dont know for sure as I only have 3,500 miles on the car thus far.

Yeah our wagon is STIFF, much moreso than the GTR. It's brutally stiff, we don't mind though it's such a ferocious beast to drive it's just part of the experience. But I was worried that the GTR would be even more stiff than the wagon, and was surprised when it wasn't.
What are you tire pressures set at in the wagon? Ours are at factory recommendation which are much higher than the GTR due to the extreme weight of the car

So, I finally got to drive 2 GTRs today. both 2018, one with 320 miles and another with about 3,400. As much I love the rear fascia and the exhaust notes on GTR, the ride is too firm for my taste. I also have driven several GTCs and like the ride quality, it is similar to my GTS. I plan to order a GTC 2020 MY.

glad to hear you were able to make your own impressions on the car with a test drive. Plan on your 2020 delivery in Dec 2019 - Jan 2020 and your car waiting at VPC for a while. Nothing bad about it since there doesn't seem to be problems with the cars.

That is interesting, because my local dealer said they will start taking orders in March for July delivery. I have not yet ordered a MB so historically, is Q4 when the new MB models come in? Most other brands release their next year model in summer/fall.

The past 2 years have been a roller coaster for many as they hear their deliveries have been delayed over and over for many reasons: EPA, missing parts, etc. My GTR was ordered 6/2018 for expected delivery in Oct. Production was completed end of sept 2018 but it sat in Germany for unexplained reasons. 2019 GTs finally were released as a group about 2 weeks ago so everyone waited while cars sat at VPC. My GTR is now arriving 1/8 to port.
Check out the GTR threads to get an idea of how long people were waiting, what issues arose, etc. Pretty informative.

This is a great observation, but what are you basing this on? Clearly, you haven't read some of the reviews about the GTR that bring validity to some of the questions I am asking.
The below quote was taken from the Top Gear review of the AMG GTR. Assuming this is the "hardcore" GTR..it sure seems like based on one reviewers actual driving experience the GTR seems to ride BETTER on the road than even the GT-S.
