Yeah weistec has has a bad last 3 years. When you have a product that’s visually defective, you would think it would be flagged.
It started when their tuner left and then a car fell off a rack and they tried to fix it at body shop without letting owner know. Just crazy.

Could you please elaborate?
Weistec is one of the tunes I'm considering for the E63S as they're the only ones that have a dealer/shop local to me.

Absolutely nothing. Which is why I paid the legion of AMG engineers who designed this engine to get it right. If there was a functional benefit to a BOV, would they not have installed it? Out of curiosity, I did check with Renntech who confirmed that with a street tune, it serves no functional or performance benefit - just noise. Shared that report herein in an earlier thread and had it backed up by folks generally regarded as knowing their stuff. I can't recall where, but I saw a credible write up as to why it isn't necessary on this engine and perhaps harmful. Do you know anything different?

why The aggression?? Chill out peeps...
i read with great attention the thread about those and I have nothing to back up my opinion other than if the bov would reduce IAT like you mention, i would think that renntech would be all over it advertising this improvement. I am going to get a dongle to monitor mine because I can clearly feel the difference in second gear and wonder if a killer chiller would help. If u willing to test yours as well we can report back to the forum.

He eyeballs downforce, floors a tuned car week one, he's allergic to facts and data, he's offensive to those that disagree with him, a cancer to any thread he participates in with his attitude ... most of all he is literally wrong about everything he says and does in regards to cars and probably everything else..
At least please stop quoting him, it defeats the ignore feature many of use are making good use of.

i am being told that the sensor that tells the computer how much boost and gas is before the air from the BOV. Therefore it really does not matter how hot or cold the air is and it is making no difference i.e. the air from BOV could be freezing cold, the computer would not increase boost, timing or gas.
the information is not coming from an MB expert and happy to be told I am wrong as I would love to get colder air and have the computer keep me at max boost.

I am meeting one of the AMG GT4 race team at Sebring and will get feedback from them. I discussed with a shop that works on turbo cars and they said that most cars from factory come with a BOV feeding back into the intake. The work they usually do is to change the valve and increase spring pressure to handle more boost but they normally do not send it back to the outside. If most OEM manufacturers do this, then it seems there is a benefit for street cars otherwise it would be cheaper and simpler to not do it. Just my 2 cents.
