2020 to 2021 seems right.. Black series is usually a send-off for a generation..

So guys, don't know how helpful this information is, but I went to my dealer and placed a deposit on the black series GT. From what everyone said on the forum, plus what I was told in person, it seems that the GT Black Series will be announced in 2020, and probably coming out as a 2021 and as a sendoff for the GT. If i was anyone else who wants one, talk to your regular dealer which you have a relationship with. My dealer is only taking a deposit on 2 and they believe they'll only get 1. The good thing is I'm the only one who put a deposit down so far at my dealer
Also my dealer did get the SLS Black Series a few years ago, so I do think they'll get me a GT Black Series. From y understanding, MSRP will be around $200k. Not sure on the rest though.

My contacts have said they have no clue about MSRP, but will be north of 200K. It is coming and they are going to wait till the last minute so the benchmarks are in line.

Yea my dealer isn't sure on stock, but they are just taking the deposits in the form of who puts it down first. Plus they also required that the customers who apply for the car, have bought a few cars from them in the past. At least thats what my SA told me.

Does it really matter how much more power it comes with if ya can't drive it without the TC on in the real world.
More useable power will need AWD. I know my car with a tune and Cup2 tires wants to kill me if I turn the TC off in the canyons...sad

Some are getting front motor MBs confused with rear motor McLarens and Ferraris. Engine location does make a difference.

So do you guys think with the confirmation of the clubsport option to the GTR, that possibly the BS could be AWD? Which would of course make if an amazing all around car. Acceleration in the mid 2’s and still a track beast. The only reason I pose the questions is from what it appears the clubsport is going for it would seem very redundant if the BS was RWD.

i see your point but completely different power sources and power amounts. NA vs TT. 500ish hp vs 700 big diff. Clubsport we’re likely talking same aero like increase and weight decreases but also likely same power source and similar power. (What 577 vs 605 or so?) seems kinda redundant to me.

Logic says weight savings on this car, but my guess is that will be club-sport role.

That's a good point with the viper comparison. haha ya putting down 650 hp and 650 torque is a serious struggle some days, specially living in the Seattle climate!!

now I know why you keep asking about all wheel drive
How about a S63 coupe? or a E63? or the new GT sedan? all wheel and amazing cars

I feel the club-sport would fill that all out track weapon as well. I hadn't thought much about them doing electric assist, do they have the room for that though?

I’m more of a coupe guy, plus I like to do 3-5 track days and 2-4 drag days a year and those are some big heavy vehicles. I would like to see a C63 BS w/ AWD, I’d be very intrigued with an E63 coupe as well. The S is just heavier, slower and more expensive then the GT!! Obviously a GT BS would be a lot more but I could pony up for a AWD 630ish GT!!
