I want to buy AMG GT, FL or pre-FL?

What AMG GT to buy, FL or pre-FL?
Hey guys,
Anyone here drove both Pre/Post-FL AMG GT?
I want to know if there are any differences between the ride quality, steering feel, etc.
I'm looking to buy a slightly used one and while I prefer the new grill, it costs 20k more than the pre-FL.
However I won't mind the first model and save some money.
Some people say that the ride is smoother on the updated model.
I'd like to know your opinions.
Cheers!

Rides are the same. Only cosmetic upgrades. If you’re buying new, get the 2018 vs a left over 2017. The 2017 has already depreciated and hasn’t left the showroom .

I haven't driven both. I have a pre facelift GT. Dozens of people posting here seem to think the ride is better in a 2018. Most pre facelift posters say that their cars started off too firm and then got more complianr. Most 2018 owners say the car was compliant from the get go. Posters who traded a prefacelift for a 2018 seem to think the 2018 has a better ride. The magazines even seem to think a GTR has a better ride than a 2016 GTS.
This is far from scientific, just what I've observed.

I drove a 16 first edition and it was a rock, at least here in Atlanta. That’s why I waited for a 17 as there was info that said they changed coil rate and went to mutimatic shocks.
Either way, my car is not as bouncy and firm after 5000 miles. As long as pavement is not white it’s a carpet ride.
For me, I like the latitude on the early models and not the vertical jail bars ( I’m a lawyer ) on the new car except in the GTR, where the width gives a bigger bite. .......

I have a 17 GT too, but I have the adjustable suspension, so I guess I don't have the passive, multi matic shocks. Maybe there were adjustments from 16 to 17 but I really do not know.

The car I might buy was built in 02.2017 and the earliest facelift model I can find is 05.
I wonder how can I find out what revisions were done to GT over time.

On a different note, how this car feels on longer journeys, fast speeds. Road noise, wind noise?
I read somewhere that road noise is quite bad and someone on this forum even installed extra sound deadening material.
The only noise I want to hear it's engine, haha.

Some people complain that the steering in the pre-fl AMG GT is too light.
Reviews are saying that the 'issue' was fixed adding more weight to steering in the facelift model.
What do you guys can say about that?
