Want to buy a AMG GTC

Hi all. My guy and I own a 2016 Maybach and a Corvette that we autocross with. We are thinking of replacing the corvette with a GTC. It is very hard to find anyone who owns a gt so I decided to post on here.

Do you that own the gt find the car a reasonable riding car for 3/4 of a day road trip? We sometimes take the corvette for road trips and its not bad. Certainly not the Maybach but a decent ride.

Do you enjoy owning the GT?

There are only a few GTC (non A) owners here as the cars are on a stop sale for certain parts. I do not have any tangible driving experience because of this but I can only imagine that the car will drive like a street version of the GTR that is more tame. I would guess it cant be any less comfortable than my GTS which can easily perform longer road trips with proper road conditions.

Maybach at the Miami Collier jetport.
Yes yes no doubt. I took a short drive in a GT but it did not have the adjustable shocks that the GTC has. As I said the trip was pretty short so I didnt really get a good feel. Thats why I asked if it was ok to drive on a longer road trip. I have to assume the gt rides not much unlike the GTC. Im really down to two different cars. One being the GTC and the other a Porsche 911 Turbo S, The problem with the Porsche is it is not visually stunning or rare like the GTC.

Thought I would attach a picutre of the big car from last weekend. After this was taken I drove the car down the road it is on which is abandoned for all intensive purposes. I reached some speeds............

The GTC A (convertible/roadster version - as opposed to the coupe) rides very comfortably. I had a GTS and the ride with the GTC is nicer. I have no real idea about the ride comfort of the coupe - but I would imagine it would be similar.

yes I am sorry I forgot they now have a hardtop GTC. I want the convertible. I might be spoiled becasue the corvette has the magentic shocks that are one of general motors BIG inventions. They allow the car to ride pretty nice yet at the flip of a switch do the autocross at a stiff setting. That is kind of what I was hoping for in the gtc where you can push a button and get a firm ride but one more push of the button and you got a car that is reasonably confortable for a decent road trip or even day to day life.

That's exactly what you have with the GTC convertible that I have. You can have as firm as you want or nicely soft. Good variations on the shock settings as well as the engine revving and shifting.

I have a GT with the adjustable suspension and I had no issues driving in one shot to Road Atlanta from Naples.
Going to your coast next week for cars and coffee and there is a convoy from Miami to the final destination. Maybe we could meet and chat? feel free to PM me.
