Do you know if the pads for the Porsche GT cars, (which use the exact same type of CCM rotor; I just don't know if the sizes are similar to the GTR), fit the GTR?

Brake pads are registered by the Friction Materials Standards Institute, or FMSI for short
AMG GT-S, C63, Audi RS7 pads for iron rotors Front: FMSI D1291 (Pagid shape: 8238, Hawk shape HB731) Size: 187.6 x 93 mm
AMG GT-S, AMG GTR, AMG SLS, C63S pads for ceramic rotors Front: FMSI D1530-8739 (Pagid shape: 8088) Size: 189.6 x 107 mm, Pagid does not list any Porsches with this pad size, Mercedes part: 007 420 71 20
AMG GT-S, AMG GTR, C63 (W205) pads for iron and ceramic rotors Rear: FMSI D1681 and D1907 (Pagid shape 8246 and 8247) one pad has tabs to mount wear sensor and the other does not, so two numbers.
Nissan GT-R, C7Z06 pads for iron rotors Front: FMSI D1382 (Pagid shape 8081, Hawk shape HB650) Size: 189.7 x 93. These pads fit fine in my AMG GT-S front iron rotor calipers
Check numbers with your supplier!

John Gaydos at Autoquest has just ordered me a full set of OEM CCM F & R brake pads, plus wear sensors for my GT R. I have plenty of pad left both front and rear after two track weekends, but always like to have a spare set available and ready to go on the car prior to the pads getting down to 1/3rd of the original depth. I am not hard on brakes. I initially brake hard, but then trail brake into the corner which according to John is much ‘easier’ on brakes than just slamming on the brakes to get to the speed you want, and then releasing the pedal.
Anyway, his MB source said that the rear pads are available and should be in in 2-3 days. Front pads were showing as available, but with no date showing. John was told that once the order is placed in the system however, it should state how long before the front pads will be delivered. If the front pads are ‘back-ordered’ such that they will take for instance a month to be delivered, I may just cancel the order and get a full set of the Pagid RSC1s which are widely used with Porsche PCCBs and are know to be ‘rotor friendly’.
Just wanted to update the forum that both sets of OEM brake pads are in and John will be sending them to me before the end of the week. The rears apparently took three days to source from his MB contact, and the fronts around ten days. Pricing was very reasonable IMHO, with both the front and rear set of CCM pads being $316 each. I also purchased two new wear sensors which is always wise with CCM brakes I think, since the tremendous heat generated at the track can prematurely wear the sensors out; (at least it did on my Z07 Corvette). So all in about $700, and I’ve now got a second set of OEM pads for when my originals wear down to about 1/3rd of their original depth.
Good to see some guys on here tracking their GTR's hard! Is the brake pad supply an ongoing issue or are they easy to get now?

I doubt that very few, so far, have tracked the car which is really the only way to wear down the pads given that street driving isn’t going to cause much of an issue on a car that is at best a year old. So few of us that might be in need of replacement pads.
I put my track wheels on the car yesterday and am amazed that the OEM original pads are still holding up well, especially the rears. The key to pad life on track, especially the rear pads, is of course to drive with ESC ‘Off’.
Regarding how how easy it might be to purchase OEM pads currently, as I mentioned above John at Autoquest had them to me in about two weeks at a great price of $316 per set. He also can source the Pagid RSC 1s which would be even better on track, and are known to be rotor ‘friendly’ on Porsche PCCBs apparently.

The OEM pricing I received from John at Autoquest was $316 per axle, so $632 for both front and rears.
Others may not agree but I think it's extremely important to properly 'burnish' (break-in/bed) the pads/rotors prior to any real high performance activities.
I had a set of Signature SV501s made in gloss Gunmetal using the exact OEM fitment sizes, and run the ROW option tyre, the Michelin Sport Cup 2 ZP, which is the standard tyre that comes on the C7 Z06 with the Z07 option. Compared to the OEM 'regular' SC2s, they are so much better on track in every way, well, except for wet conditions but I won't be tempting fate driving my car on a wet track regardless of the tyre! lol

Nice! Yeah the ZP compound is sneaky, it's much faster than regular Cup 2's. And that's cheap on the pads, less than half the cost of the ACR pads
No interest in getting 19's all the way around and running Hoosiers? I'm wanting to run 18's all the way around and Michelin slicks, should find out if it can be done by Forgeline in the next couple of days.
