I too have a 2019 GTR enroute build date is July. It is due for arrival in Canada August 25th. Yes, it is indeed confirmed that July production is for the 2019's. (Although I don't think there are any changes between 2018's/19's)

I posted the retooling comment. It’s true as you have now read.
If you want specifics about your on order car why not ask your dealer. He has the ability to track it online from production start to delivery at your dealership.
Also, they have access to a Dealer Ordering Guide aka DOG .pdf that will allow you to configure your car.
Your dealer may also have a 65” TV screen that allows customers to configure their car and select and see the various options they want.

2. Does it list all of your preferred options and prices?
IF NOT then you should return to your dealer and obtain a signed order from the dealer management that does acknowledge that the factory has accepted your order. Otherwise YOU DON’T have an official order.
As far as model year goes, unless your car is scheduled to be assembled in the next 30-45 days you will receive a 2019.
That is a good thing since a 2018 will be worth considerably less when the 2019’s start hitting the street in mid to late August-early September.

From the Dealer on this site—-Being built the 28th of June and will most likely be stateside late July, maybe early August. Willing to put together a good deal for forum members.

1. Do you have a copy of the order confirmation and number from THE AMG FACTORY?

the order is in and solid confirmed ajuly build as previously stated.
So you talk about re-tooling and the 19 worth more why will the MY 19 be worth more ?
What changes will be made ? That is all I am asking.
Apple play? Brake update ? Styling ? What changing to make the 19 worth more ?

^I think you mean a 2019?
A 2018 being a year-old model that even when sold new suffers an immediate 1 year depreciation compared to 2019 model.

So you mean it's a 2018 versus a fresh car that hasn't sat (being a 2019)?
Your use of "and" implies you're referring to the same car as a 2018 "and" a fresh car that hasn't sat.
Anyways, you and I are saying the same thing.

you are overthinking this statement my friend. It is possible that nothing changes on the order bank or dog, but the manufacturer still “retools” for the new MY. If a light fixture assembly changes because it’s coming from a new vendor they have to retool that station. The apprentice will not be noticeable to the customer and no changes has been made. This term was used as a general statement to point out that the factory needs to pause production to go through the needed changes. This pause will also designates the change in MY.
Nothing is known about 2019 car. All speculations. The first we all and the dealers know when DOG comes out.
The idea of using a 2018 order form for 2019 is sketchy. There has to be an allocation for an order to be placed. Before 2019 allocations appear on dealers rosters DOG will be available. If there is no DOG for 2019, they are taking your deposit and WHEN they get their allocation, they may choose to assign to you.

no changes for 2019 GTR (only GTC coupe forced ventilated seats unless dinamica exclusive) .. 1st few have been allocated to the huge market stores.. about 30 for the country... July builds.. but I'm fairy sure they will all sit until Fall release (based on the timelines they gave me).
DOG's have been out... we emailed many.. would be happy to send more

I mentioned that we here didn’t think the CS version was coming to the States.

No mention of a clubsport.. I asked mb a few weeks ago about it.. I was told "no plans".. From what I see I think it's unlikely we ever get it.. Like so many cars lol.. I bet a black edition for 2020.. Not sure if we will get a 2021 of this current body... I think amg is busy with the gt63 sedan.. Hybrid powertrains (73s?) and possibly an exclusive amg suv to combat the likes of the urus..?
