- Rated by Mercedes-Benz: 577 HP @ 6,250rpm; 516 LB-FT @ 1,900-5,000rpm
- Rated by RENNtech: 609 HP @ 6,500rpm; 541 LB-FT @ 3,950rpm
- Note: Mercedes M178 engine performance when measured, obtains higher power numbers than rated from factory.
AMG GT R (C190 M178 4.0L V8 BiTurbo) Modified Performance (at crank):
- Rated by RENNtech: 761 HP @ 6,750rpm; 632 LB-FT @ 5,900rpm
- 628 whp @ 6,750rpm; 556 wtq @ 5,900rpm

- Crank Performance Numbers are calculated with a 12% Drivetrain loss on the AMG GT.

They also tweeked a new E63 S which showed some impressived numbers as well.

Eric, I may have missed this in the thread so excuse me if you already answered this, but did you go for the ECU+ Upgrade or the standard ECU upgrade? Doesn't sound like you were using the hand-held tuner, but please clarify. I have a SL63 that I am interested in modifying. More interested in performance in the 60MPH+ range the 0-60. Pilot SS are great by the way.
