hey guys random question, can this be remotely buffed? I think a rock nabbed it, not deep but the clear looks like it’s a bit gone, any suggestions? Thank you all.

Clear coat is definitely gone. If the Carbon fiber pattern is in good shape and the resin is intact, it should be an easy fix. Mask off the area and spray it with 3-4 coats of clear coat. Let it cure . Then comes the worst part. Sand, sand , sand compound and wax.
Start with 400 grit and work your way to 2000 grit. Don’t sand through the fiber! Use 3M compound and apply final coat of wax

No those trucks that brush the street passed behind me and launched something I’m assuming it’s road debris or a rock and I heart a bang i got out and i checked everywhere for a rock chip on the paint and i noticed it clipped the wing
Thanks for that

as far as masking off an area then clearing, eventually the area where new and old clear mix will show a line between the 2..... unless you add a lot of extra reducer then there is a risk of that reducer ruining the existing clearcoat.... in short the painter better know what he or she is doing.... Your best option is feather out the area, scuff the whole thing and clear the complete part.....
