I think that IF this was a customer order, the Blue would be fine, and I personally love it. But this is a dealer ordered car for the floor, so if it was me I'd have to change the color, and I'd go Selenite Grey or White; either will sell much quicker.
Keep the CCMs, don't listen to anyone who says they're not necessary; they are.
The yellow stitching just makes the interior along with the yellow seat belts. It's one of the nicest interiors I've ever seen along with the interior CF.
Bottom line: these are expensive cars regardless, and it will be more difficult to sell when you build it down to a price point, versus building it up to a well optioned car that a prospective buyer would want.
Just my opinion of course but every time I tried building a car on-line for around $175K I realized that I would be missing out on some options that I really wanted and thought were necessary. Given the slight % increase in overall cost to get the full list of options I wanted, it was worth every penny to find an MSRP car at $194K

Commuting everyday, I witness a blah ocean of silver, gray, white and black cars that all seem to blend together.

I'm happy blue is a unique color. Don't really care about color opinions from those who don't even own a GT/GTS/GTR and are basing their view on internet photos and not in real life.

Porsche, Ferrari and Lambo blues are fantastic. Miami Blue has a unique greenish hue which looks nice in real life. Photos don't do it justice.

id agree on bland ocean of colors. I have no problem with color . I love the green GTR , Yellow GTS and blue GTC . But as Vic said, it’s being built for general sale. White, grey and black are more likely to sell on a floor model. Custom colors on sports car are great. Personally, the brighter the better. Miami Blue on the Porsche is a great shade of blue.YMMV.

Actually, I don’t think the brilliant blue is too dark , especially under sunlight, it looks fantastic on the car in person. It is one of my top 3 paint choices when I was ordering my GTS.

btw, did a nationwide search, lots of magno green, black and white ones.. only 4 selenite, no blues.. a couple silvers (matte and gloss), magnetites, reds (both), solarbeam yellow... not many GTR's coming I think overall

17 black
4 magnetite black
11 solarbeam yellows
15 matte greys
4 selenite grey (including mine at the moment)
23 matte green
3 red
2 cardinal red
12 diamond white
3 silver
11 matte silver
105 on order nationwide for 2019 GTR's.. roughly 2 GTR's per state
half the cars configs are locked and show customer units but who knows lol.. mine will lock any day.. hence why I want it to be perfect

I completely understand. No offense taken. Just having some fun. Business decisions have to be based to solid business reasons. I get it! Car colors when not based on a business decision are about as logical as the female gender. Oops who did I just insult?

Blue will sell if it is the only one.
also std brakes save $$
yellow calipers
yellow sticting
matt CF centre consul
you have noting to lose. It will be a stunning looking car.
The CF bar will not be a game changer, besides you can get it wrapped or buy after market if someone really wants one .
black wheels RXC
plus all driving aids tech stuff.
Awesome car!!

I have on BB GT R incoming soon (late Aug/early Sept as told by dealer). Mine's very basic Canadian Spec, no carbon options inside/out. Yellow stitching/ Yellow seatbelt /Yellow callipers. That's all about it. Can't wait to see it arrive, I've been waiting over 1 year now.

I really think CCB's are a must.. UGGHH.. I may just do blue if its the only one in the country
#46
CCB are not a must at all.
the braking difference is minimal and if it is ever tracked CCB are to expensive to replace for the use, also bedding them in is a pain and requires a process.
for value for money they are not worth it
the std brakes are very very good. Also the yellow caliper look better than gold and will match yellow stitch. With a blue exterior very very smart .
add H77 and you have a very very nice car great value car.
I cant see it being a deal breaker, however an extra $10k pccb could be.

What you are stating is an n = 1! Yours!
The CCM’s will last the life of the car if just driven on the street, as well as keeping the wheels cleaner. Whether anyone can tell the difference in unsprung weight particularly when street driven is highly debatable, but it is an extra benefit. And to be perfectly honest the ‘gold’ CCM caliper looks far better than the yellow option colour. IMHO of course.
As for the track: time and time again the ‘professional’ reviews of the car in respected magazines stated almost unanimously that the GT Rs with iron rotors experienced fade on the track. This does not happen with the CCMs although one has to upgrade to a top-of-the-line DOT 4 brake fluid due to the heat generated. They just stop the car without fade consistently at a normal HPDE event. Re: cost: the CCMs on the GT R are the same type of rotor as the Gen 3 PCCBs found on Porsche’s, and as such given the experiences of owners of those cars, hold up extremely well on a road course longevity wise. This has been confirmed to me by John Gaydos at Autoquest who anecdotally feels that whilst earlier Gen 2 PCCBs might be able to do 2K track miles before the need to be replaced, the Gen 3s can probably do 4K track miles. That’s a lot of track miles for a weekend warrior to accumulate at the track at HPDEs. That mileage may well be extended further by replacing the pads early; something I intend to do.
Bottom line: there’s a reason the vast majority of GT Rs being driven are equipped with CCMs, and it’s not to do with cost.

I agree with you. The CCB are important on a car like the GTR. I have a GTS. In that variant, the standard composite brakes are sufficient but i think they would be subpar for the GTR .

I disagree, for the price of PPCB against cost for performance they are not worth it .
the fade is rectified with correct break in and change of fluid .
Not to mention resale, one would never get the cost of brakes back.
The PCCB aid debatable regarding life use. 80 minutes of tracl laps they require replacement .
