GTS in the rain?
I’ve babied my GTS for the last two years and avoided driving it in the rain. I’m starting to get annoyed with all the rain we are getting. How many of you drive your GTS in the rain? Silly question, I know! I just love that it looks brand new, but kind of dumb that it doesn’t get driven as much.

Rain, who gives a fawk from a cosmetic standpoint, thats what a good coat of wax is for. Now I will say this, our cars are very low to the ground and fresh rain after none for a while yields more dirty water off the road which could yield our precious Benzes a bit more ugly. And the lower to the ground thing plays into effect after a few days of rain where rocks, sediment, debris, etc tend to collect on the roads and then get flicked up on the car. I have noticed over the years that I have got more rock chips after several days of rain than I would just via normal sunshine drives. A clear bra fixes this for the most part.
I have a rain car and its not the GTS

I have a clear wrap on my entire car. I thought it was only my mind that I would hear more pings and rock gravel hitting the car when I would drive it the day after rain even when it was sunny.
The wrap on the rocker panels is a saviour. I run microfiber towels on the panel when cleaning and the wrap does have little scuffs and the paint underneath is pristine .
The car handles ok in the rain. You just can’t floor it or take spirited turns as usual . The Laws of Physics still apply and you would be hydroplaning in short order.

great point!
I wrapped the entire front end and A pillars, plus I had the rockers done and portion of the rear bumper behind the wheels. One thing I will say that I dont like about the xpel is that on the plastic pieces it changes the color of the paint. still better than a rock chip...
