What tires?
 
What tires did your GTC come with? I’m hoping my new GTC will have Michelin PS4s. Who got what from the factory?

My GTC coupe came with Pilot Super Sports. When they wear, I will switch to PS4S's. Having seen the car only in the PSS's, I do think they look great.

My GTCA roadster came with Contis. Impressive tires. 265/35 ZR19 and 305/30 ZR20.

Surprised 11” fronts and 12” rears don’t use larger width tires.

GTR rear is 325 and people put 335's often (cup 2 ZP)

Hi all,

I asked my Ordering rep the same question about tires. She sent a message off to AMG; hopefully we get a reply but l with the 507 Edition last time, it was crickets from AMG! 🙂

I had a GTS Rental in Germany over the summer. It had the PSS2s as tires. They performed great at speed, around corners, under HEAVY braking (290 Km/hr+ down to 110-130 KM/hr) on multiple occasions! 😃 Also, a few twisty backroads and through the Black Forest they were very grippy. To the point of my wife saying I needed to stop as she was queasy!!!! LOL Especially on the road from Heidelberg up to Königstuhl! It was AWESOME in the GTS. It actually changed my mind from the E63S. I had an E on order, called my dealer and said let's switch to the GTC.

If I hear anything back, I'll post up the findings here.

Right. My Gt runs 305s with 15mm spacers easy.

Like you I think the MPSS is a fantastic tyre, but by all accounts the new PS4 is even better. I really want to replace the OEM SC2s on my OEM wheels with the larger sized tyres that you and I know from the Z06/7 world, but the damn PS4s aren’t made in that sizing and the MPSS in the right sizes is of course a ZP item, and I don’t want to compromise the compliance anymore than it already is around town.

My GTS came with MPSS. Best street tires I've ever owned and night and day compared to the SC2s on my 991 GT3 lol.

Ive the supersports on track a few times.. handles well.. dont fall off a cliff half way through a session like cup2's.. (which could be me lol)

Ive heard nothing but great things about the 4S tires.. if they handle better and are as durable as the supersports then Im sure I'd love em..

I also wouldnt mind trying the conti DWS06 as a HiPo all season vs the summers

Hi all,

I wanted to give everyone an update on the tire situation.

My Inventory Rep was able to confirm the GT-C will have Michelin Brand tires from what is seen at the dealer. However, what we can't confirm is the type of Michelin Brand tire. 🙂 The message we got back was MB was essentially we can't guarantee a specific brand of tires and MB can decide what tires to put on for delivery.

My suspicion is the tires will be the PSSs but we shall see. On a positive note, the Vehicle Carrier bringing over the car is scheduled to dock in Baltimore on 23/10 at 0600! 🙂 We will just need to wait for MB to announce the MY19s, wait for EPA certification and then delivery.
