my first AMG
hello from Paris and sorry for my english
i have just by my first mercedes before sixteen porsche since 20 years ,actually i have five porsche in may garage (914/6,2l7 carrera ,3l2 TLU,981 spyder and 991 turbo mk2) I love my porsche and all the porsche 911,but i have some weariness ,and i look for something news for me, something, like a roadster, something easy to use, something like a "jouet",something exotic but not too exotic,something easy funny but easy I have buy a AMG GTC roadster,it 's my first AMG but I have some question for the pro of the GT (and I put the GTC in the same product than my 991 turbo mk2) why direction feel so light? why gear ratio is so short with seven speed? why when you lock the car you always hear "bzzzzzzz" why the steering wheel is not heated? why the electric steering wheel doesn't lift more? what is the exact rule for the exaust flap (always open?)? why the pusch button of the central console is not logic? why the glove box can't welcome the owner manual why the numeric speed is not always on the same place? why the detection of speed limit hide the speed? why i can't do less than 12 l/100 (19mpg) (porsche can that) sorry for this torrent of questions and no doubt this car is so nice |
Just trying to be helpful. You may have better luck here in your native tongue at the link below. Also most of those questions may be better suited for the dealer or a salesperson familiar with the car.

I’ll take a stab at this. Direction, ala steering is light IMO because car turns in very quickly for a long front car as it’s mid-front engined. Gear ratio does does not feel short to me as car always feels like it’s in correct gear with all the torque. Comfort mode will give you longer shifts. Steering wheel questions ..... Exhaust will be open in sport plus and race. You can set it to be open in “individual “ setting. Owners manual is is available on screen. Bring physical manual to bedside and read it. No no ideas about last three questions and logic question as well. Drive the car hard and enjoy lol. |
I think what's causing the "light" steering feel for you is the four wheel steering that the GTC has...

yes the steering is very "light" than my 991 trubo,and without return in line...... it,s not a problem but "ligther"isn't hydrolic caracteristic ................ gear ratio seem long (2500 rpm at 130 km/h) (2000 rpm at 130 km/h for the 991 turbo) strangely this set up of gear ration is sportier for the AMG than the 991 turbo (top speed in 7 for AMG GT) (top speed in 6 for porsche the 7 gear is for economy) for the exaust ,i don't listen a different sound at idle when i use the central console button |
