Secondary Cat Delete vs Downpipes
Looking to make the GT S louder, and I've done secondary cat deletes in the past but I'm curious if it's any more beneficial to just do catless downpipes? Would a cat delete be just as loud as catless downpipes? On that same note, do downpipes make a noticeable difference in HP?

Downpipes don't see to make much difference in peak hp. Seen anywhere from 10-25. IIRC they make a big difference in mid range tq.

10-25hp is a lot, do it! I am typically seeing around +15hp at the wheels with addition of downpipes. |
This has been kicked around over and over.
IMO if you like spoons in the disposal sound do pipes. If you want more of the same at an octave lower, cut the secondaries. You will never feel 15 Hp. |

You will NOT feel 15hp, but if you actually track the car, 15hp around a course will shave off a tiny bit of time, and in the 1/4 if you do that should save you a tenth. is it worth it, that value is different to all, only you know for your situation if it is worth it. |
New Ca. Law, modified [louder exhaust] is no longer a fix it ticket. In many cases you will need a trip to the Bureau of Automotive Repair B.A.R. for inspection.

I guess one good thing about SC is no inspections.
