Confusing psi recommendations

(I've done a forum search, but am not satisfied)
I've been using the door jam placard to set my tire pressure. It gives cold pressures of 36/39 with no mention of max speed criteria. Yesterday, for the first time, I read the recommendations on the fuel door. (I had assumed they would be the same as the door) They are 31/32 (155 mph) and 36/39 (193 mph). According to the fuel door, I need to adjust my psi. The 36/39 I've been using seemed in line with Porsche and BMW pressures I've had in the past, so it never caused me to question it. Seems contrary that the very visible door jam would give only high speed numbers with no mention of mph anyway. Am I correct in assuming that the 31/32 psi is closer to what I should aim for? (that actually sounds very low to me) If so, the Comfort mode is about to feel a whole lot different!!

Yes your assumption is correct. I run lower pressures

Fuel Door gives the best pressures. Better ride in all drive modes. 31/32 rules!

Always use the gas cap PSIs in all my rides. The door jam ones always seem inflated pun intended

Just drove at 31/32 instead of 36/39. Lost a little responsiveness, but definitely more like I’d expect Comfort mode to feel.

I drive mine on the street 100% of the time at 29 psi F&R. Aids greatly in compliance with a minimal loss of handling IMHO.
