GTR Pro officially confirmed !

After a looong lobbying process and an amazing Mercedes GM, I am officially one of the 150 U.S. allocations with PO number and build slotted for July (see details).

In my opinion the price premium is surprisingly not crazy at all ...(if you also consider the ceramic brakes included...)...not at all the level we heard from the UK....

After all, given this base value...there is a chance it will appreciate given the low production number (did not purchase for that !) ....the potential Black Series to follow may be much higher $$$ ...VERY VERY hard to get...and perhaps too hard core track ?

thoughts ?

It will hold its value somewhat better than its ‘regular’ stablemate but will not appreciate long term.

The car is designed for the track so may well be a little ‘rough riding’ on the way to C&C. However if you adjust the rebound and compression I bet you can make it eminently tolerable.

I mentioned this in another other thread but do yourself a favour and find a GT R with the yellow Dinamica interior with yellow belts. Looks fantastic and really makes the interior ‘pop’ so much better than the Silver IMHO.

Pix when it arrives!!

I also don't think it will appreciate given that there will be a Black Series. Even current GTR owners say that the difference with the Pro is minimal, if you're upgrading from a different model, go ahead, otherwise it's not that big of an improvement.

The price difference is also minimal ...therefore ...for those of us that actually take their GTR on the track ...isn’t that an improved GTR without much premium...and the scarcity is just a nice to have ..

Not sure about resale but I think it’s worth it, congrats !! Selenite gray metallic is a good choice, I like it more than the magno

Thanks !

Magno is nice but not sure if I would like it after a few months ... plus you can get a mate PPF if really want a mate finish (I realize Magno has some metallic and may look nicer ...but permanent ! ).

I also think that the stripes in mate grey will make a nice subtle contrast with the metallic selenite. Not crazy about stripes in general but feel it is a must to differentiate the Pro (as I have metallic selenite on my GTR).
