Damn I love this car!

Got my first official speeding ticket today at 43 years old, and I didn’t care. I kept telling my wife I’m going to get a speeding ticket. This car is too damn smooth, it just screams “go faster!” I dropped my daughter off at school this morning and joked that she’s going to get me a thicket. Lol. My ‘17 GTSR Viper screwed my mind out of ditching my Corvettes. Sold my 2003 Z06, and still have my 2012 ZR1, but lost all the love. I loved the raw dog feel the Viper gave me and said f it to all the crap I had. Ordered a 2019 GTC that took 9 months to get. I broke her in so gently and once I hit 1,000 miles I have had the most fun of all my cars. I was actually going 60 over the 55mph speed limit when the HIPO hit me I had locked her down to 85. He was pretty cool, let me know he could take me to jail and impound my car, I wasn’t worried. Got ticketed for 30 over, and was well worth it. Every morning on my way to work I let the GTC hit 120-130. My shop is about 5 miles from my home so I don’t have but 1 straight away. I just love this damn car: I bought a Eurocharged HHT this week. Anxious to see how it reacts. Never had a Benz, never drove one, hell I don’t even have a stop light near my home, I’m in the country. Lol . So in love. Can’t wait for black series or might just jump to a 720S. We are so lucky to have these toys!

Is it crazy how many former (and current) Corvette owners seem to be on here?

Makes sense to me. I feel like the next logical step after a vette is a Viper or AMG GT.

Your garage looks amazing. Jealous is a good way.
I felt the same way the day I got the car about 2.5 years ago and still love every time I get in it. Also had a few vettes in my past.
Been on the list for the Black series for over 1 year and but looking at the recent pictures and estimated power specs of it, not sure it will be worth $250K.
Especially since I have installed twin scrolls MB turbos on mine and I am conservatively pushing well above the 700hp mark ( had car tuned and it wakes up the car nicely but runs out of breath past 100mph). I am not a track rat and love rallying and its the perfect car for it as it pulls now like a freight train.

Nice garage! I am also a fan of Vette and have owned 2 of them. I am on a list with local dealer for mid engine Vette, Can't wait.

Nice! I see you have a C4 on the lift. I had one too! Sold it with only 30,000 miles. I had way too many issues with it. Switched to a Viper RT/10

15 AMG S63 4-matic coupe
Please don't misunderstand as I love My GT-S. The GT-C can only be better but....
if you want tickets be cautious with an S63 coupe. My GT-S is awesome but you feel the sense of speed and exhilaration.
The S63 on the other hand is simply sublime, 50 70, 100 all feel the same. It dispatches miles with aplomb and finesse.
I can't count the number of times I've heard, "how fast are you going?" emanate from the copilot ( SWMBO, She Who Must Be Obeyed. )
It is so easy to be cruising along and glance down with the aaaagh holy SH!^ reaction cruising along doing a casual and unintentional buck.

The OP states he lives in the United States.

All I can say is I'm shocked at the silence here. Driving this car on public streets at 120-130 MPH will kill people. It is to be condemned.

I'm on the conservative side as well. Most I ever do, is give it a little romp on a clear stretch or the on-ramp to feel the acceleration. When traveling on the highway. I like to follow a pack of 2-3 cars going 10-15 mph over the speed limit - max. My last speeding ticket was in 2002 in a mini van - lol. With great power comes great responsibility - Voltaire.

This. I've hit the 120 mark once or twice while on a wide open and empty 80mph toll road, but would never do it with anyone else around, or on a regular basis. Max is 10-15 over if there's a pack. Haven't had a ticket in over a decade, and don't plan to start now, even though this car makes it REALLY easy to get into impound territory if you aren't constantly checking yourself.

Nice ride OP.
I went through a bad ticket last year AND had my license taken for a month! 103 in a 65. It wasn't fun. BUT, I also had such a nice trooper that took me over. Good luck with it and try to slow it down

I’m probably older than many of you, but any more I simply find myself setting the ACC to about 9 mph over the limit on a highway. If I need to be anywhere in a big hurry I’ll fly there.

Also, I tend to do ‘track days’ and when you can blast down the back straight at COTA at 155 mph in a GTR, it helps to get the high speed jollies out of my system. lol

I agree. I had a national competition license in SCCA for about 10 years racing open wheel cars. I always felt safer on the race track than on freeways, highways or city streets. On the race track everyone (well almost) is driving with 100% attention and we're dicing in and out and flowing around. Off the race track the average driver is driving with ??? % of their attention. On a race track if you start to daydream or are inattentive, you're off in the weeds and it ain't pretty - and may cost a lot of $$$ - especially when your car sits an inch or so off the ground. Off the track I am most mindful and for me all other drivers are bogeys. I have no real idea of their intent, trajectory or state of mind so I drive defensively and happily. You want to cut in front of me? Sure, come on in. You want to drive 55 in the fast lane in a posted 70? Cool. You're driving with what you've got and to try to get you to go faster would be unsafe. I'll pull around when I can safely do so and wish you well. Now, when I get to one of my favorite skidpads (on or off ramps)....well that's another story....but still always safe.

LMFAO. Come down in Miami on I-95 and you will get run over driving 15mph over the speed limit. You not speeding till you way over 100. Not saying it's the right thing to do and it's all about where and how you speed. Always a risk out there and yes, it's safer to do it on the track. I wonder sometimes why most buy this car cause they are garage queens and they never see the track. Mine has seen a few tracks and about to see well over 200mph soon.

Mine may never see a track, and I don't plan to regularly hit 120+ on public roads, guess I better sell it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah a lot of saints and halos here. 600hp cars under 80 all the time. Sure.
