Downpipe suggestions

Newly purchased and loving my gts so the modding will just be a loooooong process so I can enjoy the newness. Would like suggestions on downpipes. Not super expensive and not loud. I like the note stock maybe slightly louder which can be achieved by removing resonator. Thanks in advance.

I would strongly suggest checking out Keller Performance. I just recently installed a set of their downpipes and loved them. The quality and craftsmanship is definitely a plus. All of their downpipes are 3D scanned for exact fitment so you won't need to do any modifications to install them. A big plus for me because I am a very picky person. The price is just right as well compared to other companies who are charging an arm and a leg.

Cut the secondary cats. No CEL and it might be exactly what you are looking for. A lot of members have done this to their GT.

I second this. See if that gets you what you want, before the hassle of messing with the DPs.

No Worries! Check Engine Light. Downpipes will require a tune if you want to get rid of the CEL. But I think Renntech's new downpipes do not trigger a CEL.

Sounds identical to mine, after cat surgery, in Race Mode.

I guess you could be right. I've never heard from the outside of the car just the inside, lol

Very understandable. There's a fairly drastic difference between the in-cabin sound, and what you hear from behind the vehicle.

Thank you!

Would it be possible to hear some revs in sport mode?

Normal Sport, not Sport+?

Edit: Here is Sport first, followed by Sport+:

IMO you lose low end octave with DPs. No offense but it sounds like a tractor to me, And if you get into revs, you hear ithat spoon in the garbage disposal sound but that’s just me what a do I know

Which are the "secondary" cats?
The front pair (closer to the turbos)?
...Or the rear pair (closer to the exhaust)?

The ones just past the down pipes, not the primaries that are built into the DPs.

What he said ^^^

The ones you can easily touch if you are under the car.

I did it to my GTR and it was the best $120 I've spent on the car. Good thing is, if you don't like the sound, just weld them back on.

I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly but I would think any exhaust shop you go to has the correct size. It might be 2.5 inch or 3 inch
