For the gt being a production car you don’t see many on the road

I see significantly more Hurucans/Gallardos/Mercis, than I do other GT cars.

Yeah, it's bizarre. Even at car shows/events, I'm usually the only one there out of 150-400 cars, maybe one other one from time to time.

Yup... I've been two 2 shows this year, one was over 1,000 cars, the other was around 600 and I was the only GT at both. There is a local solarbeam yellow GTR though, but the guy never drives it.

Considering it’s one of the most beautiful cars on the road and how it drives I’m sure now that a lot of the lease returns are turning up on used lots we will start seeing more on the road

I know the gt main comp is the 911 but to me this car has way more wow factor

Funny you said that because on my short list when I brought the GTC was a 911 Turbo S. I love the extra perfornance and interior room BUT I could not get over the wow factor of the GT over the 911 especially the interior. Now the 2020 911 has a new modern interior so perhaps I might consider one of them some day but even then it still does not have the GT on the exterior.

It’s funny, I literally see one almost every day here in West Los Angeles. Sometimes more than one! Most are GTs and GTSs with a few GTCs like mine. I see lots more 911s. Today at brunch the was a 812, as GT3 RS, a Lamborghini and one other GTC! It’s a fine line between being in a cool club and being ubiquitous like the 911. There are about 1800 total sold per year of which only about 300 are GTC coupes and it seems they are all in LA! They are still rare enough to get lots of attention from all kinds of people. All I know is I love my car!

Is that 1800 sold per year in the US? How many produced per year?

Like a lot of cars, I think that the GT certainly has some really killer angles. The rear quarter panel looking forward, direct head on, the front quarter angle showing the rear flare. It really stands out, soooo much more than Porsche, Lambos and even ferrari. don't get me wrong, love the Italian selections but I have sort of become numb to them. When I see a GT and even though I drive one, I am saying "what the heck is that?!!" be I don't immediately recognize it, and its really cool to see one in the flesh...

I live in a small place and my gts is the only one around. Or at least the only one driving around on a regular basis. Which is a big reason for my purchase. Great performance, super car looks and very rarely another one on the road.

It is my belief that I saw a CT-C about two weeks ago.
but he was driving between two panel vans going in the opposite direction from me so i only got an ever so brief glimpse.

Who cares?

If you live in Podunk, USA you probably won’t see one. If you live in New York, Florida or California they are plentiful. Heck , my local dealer has no less than 13 different variants in stock. Neighboring dealers have them also. Not to mention Previously owned stock.

Its a production car , not a hens tooth

Depends of what you consider plentiful. I can stand at an intersection for 5 minutes and count a dozen 911's and wait hours in Miami (or insert major metro area here) to maybe see one. Doesn't mean anything but they are a rare sight. There are more around, just not DD's

While I'm not silly enough to think that the GT lineup is some ultra exclusive or ultra rare car... I absolutely enjoy the fact that I rarely ever see another one on the road or at meets/cruises. I enjoy having a vehicle that I rarely ever see on the road, and the GT, for whatever reason, is very uncommon day to day.

It's the same reason that the vettes weren't on my radar, even though the z06 is a performance monster, and the 911s were only a slight consideration. If I see them everywhere, it just doesn't feel as special when I turn back to gawk at it in the lot.

I see a GT every few days but I have never seen another brilliant blue GT.

If it has a 10 year cycle until a new model that will probably put it at less than 30k cars for the whole of the US

+1

For perspective, Porsche sold more than 17K units of the 911 in 2018 alone

Sheesh, did they even wave Katie? I have yet to see one in the RTP area of NC. Too me, once you've seen a 911, you kind of............but when you see a GT-R on the road?? That would be memorable!
