Price Check On Used 2018 GT

Looking at a 2018 AMG GT convertible. It has 2,000 miles and an asking price of $108,000. It has the following equipment : 857- red pepper leather, 369-key less go, 993- lane tracking , U25 - sill lights, U78 -perf exhaust , 239- Distronic ,401- vent seats, 656- cross spoke wheels and 810- Burmester. The original MSRP was $137,270. Vehicle was driven by dealership owner. What are your thoughts on the price?
If I decided to go with a 2019 GT, what kind of discount could I expect? Is MB providing any trunk money to dealers? Thanks.

That GT is practically new. Only 2000 miles and fair price reduction. See if they can sweeten the deal further with free paid maintenance , extended warranty , etc.

Doubt 19s have steep reduction. Certainly not in Summer months when sales are most robust . You will see bigger reductions in late fall and early winter.

FYI, 2018 models are off the incentive list. No trunk money of any kind and not leasable via MBFS. That's why you can find these typically used with no miles on it. Brand new cars are punched (marked as sold) so the dealer can grab the incentives and then sell as used.
Look around and find the right car/color/options you like. You should this kind of price without issues on either car...

dunno about pricing but beware of dealer owner cars.... I looked at a vehicle driven by the wife of the owner per the sales guy...... i found paint work, scratches underneath like it scrapped over some speed bumps at speed... pushed down on the back seat cause i saw weird scratches in the leather.. found it really dirty and some dog hair.. are they selling as new with full new warranty time ?

This could be true of any executive owned vehicle; not just dealer owned.

Thanks for all of the input. Found another GT convertible with 39 miles for $114,000. Same options. What were the prior incentives on the 2018. Are their any incentives on the 2019. Looking to purchase rather than lease. With the money factor, leasing is not an option for me.

MY18 GTA was at $10k trunk money - None that I recall for MY19, at least in May. Don't have June numbers. Triple net is the lowest possible price without the dealer taking a bath and that will not happen on a roadster during summer months. (Invoice minus hold backs)
No Fleet incentives on these GT's unfortunately but I am posting this for reference as this is an often overlooked discount to grab and few know about it.

This is a rather interesting thread, as my father just purchased a new 2018 GTC Roadster for $130k. Listing price was $176k, I negotiated it for him. Was one hell of a negotiation, as I gave the dealer a rather insulting lowball price of $120k, which was instantly rejected. Then told them $130k and stuck with it after several back and forth argumentation. We are pretty happy with that price, maybe someone here could have argued for less - but Im kinda proud for setting it up for him.

I have been following new 2018/19 Roadsters for the past 10 weeks, so I know the remaining ones in the market are truly not selling. If you are decent at negotiation, you can get a pretty nice discount if you don’t care for the 2020 facelift with its fancy haptic buttons/larger display/electronic dials/updated taillights. Just stick to your price once you have started the actual negotiation

---
Before looking at a GTC Roadster, we were looking at a regular new 2018 AMG GT Roadster. Dealers have been giving $20k off easy on these cars. We negotiated $30k off a white with red top + red leather interior one; however, the dealer backed out right when we were waiting for the notary to call. I guess maybe that might be pushing it for the GT Roadster. Last time I checked, that car still is for sale so I guess at some point that dealer will drop the price to $30k off lmao. F them for wasting our time

Maybe this info can help someone get a good deal

Nice deal! Was this a new car sold as used or?

That pricing typically can only be offered if the car was punched and the dealer pulled all the incentives. At that point they would loose around $5-8k on the car (depending on the dealer).

I notice mbusa website seems to show inventory for these cars, not on a per dealer basis, but as a pool. All 5 dealers near me show the same 2019s in inventory, which isn't reality of course, they must be held in some kind of central inventory that a particular dealer can tap into? I notice alot of stock on 2019 GTCs, 25 of those alone in stock for the Long Island dealers.

It was sold as new. Thats very interesting to know - appreciate the information! We are truly excited to receive the car as its the first "exotic" car in the entire history of our family haha
