Hey,
Just got an updated comand ..
Its connected via UHI to my 6230. The SMS and NOTE menu's are there but they are geeyed out so i cant use them.
The other phone integration stuff is working fine.
Do i need to update the phone.. or ?..

Hmmm... my guess is that the COMAND needs to be programmed for "Expended functionality phone". You can check if this is set by going into the configuration menu (from the Diagnostic menu which is accessed by holding down MUTE + 1 + 3 for five seconds from the radio tuning screen).

Were you trying SMS right after the phone is inserted in the cradle? Sometimes it can take some time... even more than a minute or two... before the SMS selection is unblocked.

it was there for 10 minutes or more.. but i will try to let it be there for much longer later today

i just had it on for 1 1/2 hour.. still not working.
So i checked the setting you mentioned.
I found this.. was this what u was thinking about ?

Yeah, 10 minutes would have been enough. It is the "Telephone expand." setting that is not set that causes the SMS not to be available.

BTW u where doing the installations on my car in DEC with Steve.
.. can you pls remind me why the memory on my mirrors arent working ?.

-Steve might have told me late one night at the border to germany where i went to pickup my car after the install. But i cant remember..
