Elec. seat went out, dealers say sub & amp are the prob?
2 months ago I had an amp and sub installed, preofessionally by the best in teh area. 1 month later my electric adjustable drivers side seat goes out. The dealer told me today it was due to the sub being installed. Something is blowing a 30 amp fuse? If the amp were to cause this, why would it happen 30+ days later. I would think the fuse would have blown within 48 hours. Any suggestions....my car is a 2003 C230 SS. I need some help!

Pull out the amp's fuse at the battery and see if the seat fuse still blows. It could be possible that they hit a power wire with a screw or something and that is blowing the fuse, but a sub amp will only draw enough to blow a 30 amp fuse on it's own power wire not a factory wire or circuit. Even still it would have probably shown up sooner than 30 days.
