aftermarket headunit digital out to bose system??

aftermarket headunit digital out to bose system??
hi all,
i purchased this:

and i really don't want to sell it- the sound quality was incredible on my old car and i'd like to keep it. i would like to upgrade the system on my c32 but after opening it up- i realized i have the fiber optic system outputs from the stock headunit only and not copper wire.
the aftermarket head unit above does however have a digital out on the back. my question is this:
will i be able to use the digital out on the back of the aftermarket hu to send signal to my stock bose amp/speakers? i do NOT want to rewire to the amp.
