comand question ??

Do all of the comand nav headunits have the DVD and DVD in-motion capabilities used in all of the comand headunits with the "video" button instead of the "sat" button on the front face..????

Is there a specific list of part numbers to look for. I found a chart on line with part number noting head-units with a "video" function. does the DVD function apply ??

Any help would be appriciated.

Assuming you are asking about units for cars that you show under your avatar, the answer is no. The units with "Video" buttons are for Euro spec cars. No U.S. spec unit prior to '07 or later model years could read DVD video at all, without modification. The modification often involves adding a TV tuner with AUX inputs, and then plugging in a DVD player.

Euro spec units can often be retrofitted to U.S. cars, but you may have problems tuning all U.S. radio stations, and sometimes the steering wheel controls won't work. Steve@MBENZNL.com does such installations (if he is still doing them in the U.S.) and can answer questions in more detail.

U.S. units can be sent to Nav-TV and modified. www.navtv.com.
