Is there an easy way to extract +12V from the MHI connector?

My 05 SL600 has an MHI connector, but I'm not using the factory phone integration (for reasons that aren't really relevant to this post).

Is there an "easy" way to just pull +12V from the MHI connector? Is there an MHI "socket" I can buy (that doesn't come with the baggage of a cradle), and is there a way to obtain the MHI pinout? My goal is to simply charge my phone. But I don't really want to use a cigarette lighter adapter (can't close the ashtray lid then), and plus there's no nice, flat space for me to lay the phone while it's charging.

The ideal place is in the upper console box, if I could only get +12V there.

I'm not aware of these connectors being available but there is a new Euro BT SAP adapter that has a USB charger plug. Perhaps a bit expensive solution for your issue though.
