Question Can acrylic radio face be replaced ?

Hi guys. My buddy bought a 2006 CLK with the standard sound system ( non navigation) and it looks like the previous owner tried to clean the radio face with a billow pad as it's very scratched up.

Any suggestions as to how he can repair this by either polishing out the scratches or can it be replaced?

Thanks

beater with a heater
lowest replaceable unit is the unit itself, grab some beer and make a project out of it over the weekend, remove radio, then remove face, then remove everything else until you are holding the plastic piece, the wet sand with 2500 and repaint with a flat or a satin paint
