E55 Stereo/Media Screen: Why Do Some CD's Display Song Titles?
I recently bought a 2004 E55 and I'm still getting up to speed on the audio system.
Most all the CD's I listen to are recorded on my own burner.
Why is it that a few will display song titles on the media screen, while others only display "track 1" etc?
Is this dependent on the brand of blank CD or the data I have recorded in my computer file?
How many lines of data will the screen display?
Anyone know?
Thanks.

Oslo, thanks much for finding that thread.
Very informative.
Part of my dilemma is that all my CD's were created on the same burner, from the same file system, but some CD's display text and others don't.
I'm going to check the editing options in the burner and see if I can find the reason. Could be related to the nature of the original format (MP#, WAV, RealAudio), as suggested in the thread you found.
