Speaker sizes in '93 S500 Coupe (W140?)
Hi,
A friend of mine has just bought a '93 S500 Coupe which I think is a W140 model.
I've been tasked with installing a new sound system. I would like to know what size the speakers are scattered around the car. I haven't, as yet, had a chance to look in detail at the car.
The door speakers appear to be 3way? with a woofer and mid, presumable there is a tweeter somewhere ?
I would probably not replace the rear shelf speakers, and maybe even remove them altogether.
From my initial glance mouting 2 *10" or 12" subs infinite baffle under an MDF reinforced parcel shelf is the best option for getting some bass into the cabin? We're not looking to split ear drums here, just some decent quality sounds.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
