"No Playable Files" Error when playing music from iPhone 6

Just the other day my 2016 Mercedes C300 decided to quit playing music off of my iPhone 6. Previously all I had to do was plug it in and it played through the media button. Now when I plug it in it says "no playable files" on the screen.

The songs are all still there, I haven't done any updates to the phone, and I haven't changed out the cords in the console area. Not sure if it's phone related or if it's the car.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I'm assuming it's something simple, just not sure where to start. Not an overly tech savvy guy.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!
