2007 S550 AMG package
the amplifier was stolen and a new one is about 4k, can it be replaced by a different system or amplifier? or does any one know where to get a refurbish or no so expensive amplifier?

Yikes, who the hell steals the amp? that takes some time to get to. I know for a fact that there is one sitting on a shelf at a local audio company that works 100% www.access1alarm.com . It is one of 2 purchased for the design of an audio interface on the S class and has not been taken apart yet. I know this because I was working on the project before I retired. Just email them and see what they want for it. you might need to have it coded to the vehicle, it has 08 software in it, same as 07 as the COMAND software was the only one that really changed.
