PDA/GPS Car mount

I am looking to mount my Garmin iQue 3600 some where in my 2000 SLK230. I have only a few requirements:

-No drilling, sticking or cutting, I want to return to stock if needed.
-Keep the radio and HVAC controls clear
-Mount low enough inside the car where it will fall in the car if bumped loose.
-Preferably be near areas that wires could be tucked out of site for a clean appearance.
-If possible, easily removable.

Anyone have any ideas or better pictures of an install. Right now I am thinking of building a custom mount, I just don't know where I will mount it too?

Thanks

Sounds like Pro Clip is what you are looking for:

Originial manufacturer:

A USA distributor:
http://densionusa.com/merchant/merch...egory_Code=PRC

I'm sure google would turn up others.

Thanks Bouncer,

I think this mount need to be "stuck" to the side of the console on the SLK. The mention of adhesive tape in the instructions tells me that this is need to keep the bracket in place. Have you used this mount and did you use the adhesive?

Given the pic below, I'm not sure you need adhesive. Looks like the use a small plastic shim to create a small gap between the wood trim and the console and wedge the clip in between the two. Then remove the shim and allow the tension between the trim and the console hold it in place.

Nope, don't own one yet, I'm on the road using an ipaq + navman 3450 GPS sleeve. When I get back I'm looking into getting a vehicle mount for it. (Which is what led me to pro-clip).

Given the number of types and models they have plus install pics on what are obviously MB's.. I kinda doubt it's a fly-by-night operation. Could be wrong of course. Guess I'll find out when I buy my GPS mount kit.

Thanks

I know the company is reputable, other Garmin iQue user have used their mounts and liked them. I'll take a closer look at their product and figure out if it's usable.

By the by, I stumbled across this site which has numerous reviews of various PDA style mounts.

http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/menu_gpsmounts.php

Keep in mind it's a UK based site, however most if not all distributors likely have a US cousin.
