Arduino & cockpit buttons control voltage
Hi,
I am trying to connect an Arduino that will actually remember the settings of my cockpit buttons, like seat warmer position, climate setting (AUTON on/off), exhaust setting, auto starter... basically trying to get feedback from the LEDs and based on that simulate the button press. I hate going into the car and having to press 10 buttons to get back to the desired settings.
Before I start this, maybe you guys can answer some questions:
- what voltages are we talking about?
- can I connect the Arduino to a fuse/pin that only provides voltage when the car is running?
- is there another way of doing this than tapping into the wires for all buttons/LEDs?
Thanks.
