Doesn't remember where audio stopped

I like to listen to audio books via a usb stick in MP3 format, however, the car can't seem to remember where it left off when I turn it off. When I come back the car starts with the first audio file on the disk. I've tried different USB sticks and searched all the settings, but no luck. Does anyone know a solution to get the car to remember where it stopped playing last? I've never had this problem in any car before, so I don't have any idea how to resolve it. Seems like there must be a simple solution, I hope. Thanks in advance!

I have a 2018 A Class

Just bumping this in case anyone knows the answer. The car rarely remembers where it left of when playing music or mp3 books from USB.
