My W216 CL500 has been constantly getting a flat battery if left to stand for more than 3 days. Very frustrating. Having tried a few different things I removed the HK amplifier and suddenly no more battery drain.

Problem is a replacement amplifier runs at up to $2,000. Being a COMMAND unit I can't swap it out for an aftermarket unit either.

So...

I would like to add a simple switch, either hidden somewhere in the glove box, or in the trunk next to the amplifier, that allows me to simply turn off the power to the amp if I know the car is going to be left standing for a while. However, I have no wiring diagrams and wouldn't know where to start. Any advice here would be appreciated.
