music quality no longer there
For a friend. He has a 1999 clk320 with bose. He had a Kenwood dvd screen added and the quality of the music went down. I still believe the bose amp is hooked up because it was warm(pretty generic way of testing but i dont know much about systems). Isn't the amp suppose to be bypassed when installing an aftermarket deck? Since the sound isn't that great he wants to install new inside speakers and two subs. Can any of you give us some direction of what to do? thanks.

the bose amp doesnt need to be bypassed... You can play into it with an amp interface adapter. If he wants to do speakers and AMPs and Subs and has never done them before bring it somewhere... dont have his car be first, lol. but the kenwood screen has a brain, prolly mounted in the trunk... Mount the two amps there... run power and ground to the positive and negative terminals on the battery run some RCAs to the AMPs and then run new wire to speaker locations(not recomended) or just run wire to the bose amp and use factory wiring from that point on...

Thanks for the reply. The music just doenst sound as good as it did when he had the stock equipment in there. I'll let him know on his choices. Im tellin him to leave thewhole thang because it can get very pricey even when he gets a major discount at bestbuy cuz he works there.
