The Samsung LCD panels are the best on the market IMO

Got a Pio 60" elite Kuro about 4 months ago and am constantly amazed at how good this thing is. A professional ISF calibration will take it to yet another level.

pioneer premier are pretty nice panels.. if you want really nice then the runco 63" is a really great looking screen. I just designed a whole system around the runco and it does not disappoint.

I have a 50" Runco plasma in my basement that hardly gets used but recently got rid of my Mits 73" DLP for their new 82". I don't have any complaints so far.

I had a 61" Sammy DLP (in Canada) and loved it, for the money it was a fantastic TV. My primary TV here is a Sammy 50" plasma I picked up about 2 years ago, very happy with it. Just looked at the new 63" Sammy plasma 3D (I think it was a series 7+) yesterday and it is nothing short of stunning, pretty sure that'll be my Christmas present to myself this year. I'm still a fan of plasma over LCD on the big sets, 42" and under, LCD though (have one for the bedroom).
Aaron - getting into the 80" range, do you find that the DLP holds a picture/brightness advantage over a HD projector and screen? |

Thanks for the reply. It was something that I was wondering since my 61" DLP somewhat struggled in my living room unless it the lighting was fairly dim, hence I thought an 80" may have the same (but more pronounced) 'wash-out' problems.
Good info. |
Sharp Aquos TV's are nice. The only problem I've had with both of mine is the internal speakers crap out within 6 months and start rattling.
But if you're running the audio through an external receiver, they'll last a long time (since you're not using them) :D |
