B200 Turbo W245 Audio Upgrade B-)
Hi all.
A wonderful forum.
Appreciate the efforts.
I recently bought a Merc B200 Turbo CVT (2008) for my run around in Capetown. Car is in very good condition and I like this cutey pie!
The only grudge is the speakers included in the car as I feel it is not upto the Merc standards.
I have decided to upgrade the speakers and add a small amplifier to power it.
I found this amazingly small Class D amplifier from Kenwood:
http://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/marine/kac-m1824bt/
https://www.crutchfield.com/S-r8fcel...C-M1824BT.html
This amp also has inbuilt Bluetooth controller which basically helps me to stream music from my smartphone too. So apart from powering the output from Audio 20 Headunit in my B, it also adds Bluetooth functionality without much complications to the car.
I love Rainbow Audio http://www.rainbow-audio.de/en/speaker/dream-line/ and Eton Hifi speakers.http://www.eton-gmbh.com/en/products/car-hifi/multiple-way-systems/
Hence, Planning to put Split 6.5" components in the front replacing stock speakers and 6.5" coaxial speakers in the rear doors.
Hope this works out well.
I hope to hear from the experts here to know what I should keep in mind before I begin the install.
Thanks in advance.
