I have a Mercedes Benz B180CDI from 2007.

I was driving even tho I had a battery warning on my instrument panel.

Went powerless at some point (I'm not sure what had happened.) But my power steering stopped working and lights and indicators and radio all went dead.

I was able to drive home and park.

Changed the brushes on the alternator (nothing left) and when I put everything back together nothing happens when I turn the key.

New battery and the instrument panel and lights and everything turns on. But when I try to start.. nothing happens. Sometimes the relay click.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to find out what is wrong.

I have borrwoed somediagnostic tool and I am going to try it out when I get home

Got the trouble code

lost comm with glow plug control mod.
and
Invalid data rcvd from vehicle dynamics control mod

deleted the codes and the first one came back.

Are these trouble codes that would prevent the starter to turn ?
