C250 kissing a pillar

Hey guys,

Long story short, people in Western Australia have no idea how to park, thus my colleagues and I (work in a Pharmacy in a shopping centre) park has close to the pillars in the underground car park, maximising the distance between our cars and some other car (people here also don't care if their car door smashes into yours).

Few days ago, a combination of lack of sleep lack of coffee and a 10hr shift, when I was backing out the tip of my side mirror hit the pillar

The unit is fine, still folds in and the indicators still work, but the mirror has a nice big crack down the centre. My insurance excess is high ( I'm 23 ) and I am sure the dealer will not be cheap.

My question is, is there anything special in this mirror? Like a defogger or? I am taking it into the dealer soon to have a look at it and would love some knowledge before I head in there.

Thanks in advance guys!

The mirrorglass is heated and some have automatic dimming and/or a little triangle for your blind spot.

The left mirror is quite expensive. The right one is cheaper. Don't ask me why
There are some for sale on german ebay.
