Squeaky Brakes

I know there were threads in the past about squeaky brakes due to brake pins? But I thought that I wasn't effected untill today. I was driving on a private road at about 90 and breaked medium/heavy to 50 but I didn't slam them, and kid noticed when slowing down to go on a speed bump later on that day there was a small squeak as I came to an almost stop, and noticed there were a series of squeaks after accelerating from that stop till about 7 mph. Is this due to something I have done or something that is a defect in the car?

~ if this is a one time problem... you could have had a small rock or debris between the rotor and the pad. happens from time to time.

My brother had intermittent brake squealing problems. He brought it into the dealership expecting that the parking brake needed to be reseated or replaced... Instead they discovered that his rotors were unevenly worn, and since he was under 5,000 miles, they just replaced the rotors and pads. I was shocked that they did that.

But if you haven't had it occur until now, chances are it is just debris, like small rocks, or brake dust buildup. Try flushing the caliper with a hose and water to see if that helps.

I mentioned this in my thread "c250 problems". I experienced exactly this - most notably the squeak when accelerating as that means its happening without applying brakes. I had pins replaced and it was solved. However after I had my car replaced (see original post for details) I experienced same squeak but this time replacing pin never completely remedied the issue. I still get it after driving hard or after using parking brake sometimes.

Also just want to add that in that thread you can find two videos of the squeaking to compare if it's the same. GL
