Tire pressure for 17''?
Hey I just picked up a winter set of tires and 17'' rims from Tirerack. My C250 Sport+ comes standard with 18'' rims and it doesn't say what the 17'' tire pressure should be on the driver's side door. There's only pressure for the 18''. The snow tires are exactly the same size as that comes standard on non-sport+ C250's. If anyone can tell me the pressure I'd appreciate it, thanks.

28/33 on the label, but I like to run the fronts a bit higher...around 30-32

Your sticker says 28 for front tires on 17"? My C250 that came with 17" non-AMG rims states (I believe 31/32) all around. I will check shortly when I head down to the parking lot to my car... But I would say you should be fine with 31 PSI all around.

Thanks. I figure I'd mount the tires right before it snows. You are near me in Dix Hill. Did you go through a winter with the coupe yet or no?

Was driving through unplowed streets fine. Only once I got stuck for a split second in 4" snow. But I just reversed and then put back into drive and rocked out. Saw a Genesis Coupe on the main road (with no snow on the ground), had 19" rims and summer tires and was just spinning on the hill... Summer tires are garbage for that type of weather. I quickly zipped by him :zoom: I was throughoughly surprised at how well it did, much better then my G37S Coupe (which also had 19" rims with Potenza summer tires). |
Can you check if your oe tires have snow flake logo on the sidewall? I noticed that cars that came from germany have tires with the snow flake logo on them and usually you only see that logo on snow tires and maybe the reason why the car performed better on snow tgan the other cars you saw on the road.
