Just installed mine and I don't think there is any way to install without "loosening" (it does not need to be removed) the inner fender cover. Turn the tire as far one way as you can to get some room first. I pulled the first 3 retaining clips there and then there is one more on the bottom that I pulled. Then I just pulled the cover out far enough to see in there and get my hand in.
Remove the bulb - half turn right or left I forget.
Then you just push a tab that is pretty easily accessible and the outer part (that you ordered) separates from the inner part. The inner part stays inside the fender loose and then you clip the newer outer section to it from the outside.
Reinstall the bulb and you should be set.
The first one took me 10 minutes to figure out and the second took me about 3 minutes.
Good luck

I installed mine too, about 10 mins total to do both sides.
We should have a guinea pig start a thread with pictures of our cars with the clear corners. It would be nice to see different colors of the C Coupe with the different shades of the clear corners. i.e clear with smoke edges vs smoked

The first one took me about 15 minutes to figure it out, then only 10 minutes to do the other one. Be carefull not to break the rear tab or you will be SOL

I held up the black piece from the back side, then put the front hooks from the light into the holder from the outside. I then held the piece into position in the fender, then pushed the back of the lens to set the rear tab into black piece.
