2014 C250 Clear LED Side Markers
Has anyone purchased / installed the clear LED side marker lights found on ebay for their C250 coupe? If so...how do you like them? They look nice as advertised!

Well I just bought them, so I guess I'll do my own review after I get them!
While I'm thinking about it, how do the stock side markers come off - just pull them or is there some hidden screws?

You need to remove the fender liner (3 pull pins) and release the clip from behind. They just pop right out- very simple.
Fishcake is a very reliable source for sidemarkers but I have never seen the LED version of the sidemarkers.

Clear LED side markers installed
Well as advertised, the install took a whopping 15 minutes total, in the rain no less; I only removed two plastic retainers on each side to access each light and had to file off just a wee bit of each upper (toward the rear) plastic edge so as not to have an interference fit going back in. The replacement side markers came with their own cradles but I reused the stock ones instead.
I did have an error code "check left front side marker" but shut the car off and then back on and that was the last I saw of it.
So here are the before and after / clean and dirty pics

15 min? Did you unscrew fender cover? I can't believe it takes 15 min, I need 30 min to jack up car and prepare for all this at least.

I took two fasteners out from each fender well and pulled back the skirt. . Plenty of room to replace the lights. .I could do it in 10 minutes now that I've done it once, it's too easy.

You'll have plenty of room, you need side to side room, not height to install these. .. Just cut the wheel all the way to the side and that's all you need. Clear lights, see the pics

I looked at changing mine, but where are the clips or whatever you take off to get access to the light? It is covered by plastic etc on the underside.

Anyone likes more expensive markers with LED or something inside? Are they look better? This plain seem best to me:

The clear LED matches the front LED day time running lights and it has 5 individual LED bulbs in it shaped like an "L"...the link you have above is a clear lens with one standard incandescent bulb (amber or clear) - which is fine if that's the look you want. You won't have any issues with the error codes if you stick with a 5 watt bulb, if you switch to LED's you'll have to install a resistor or acknowledge the error code on the driver info screen once each time the car starts with lights on. (the computer does not see the resistance in the LED lights because it's so small so it assumes the bulb is burned out)

Here is a brief DIY on my install today of these popular LED side lights from eBay. My car is a 2014 C250.
I'll post any issues I have (if any) over the next few days. I'm going to be looking out for any leaking (car wash), error codes, and bad LEDs, but so far, so good!

So after driving the car once this morning (automatic lights came on), I did receive this error after parking and turning off the vehicle. It said both side markers had a problem (I only took a pic of the one side error).
After driving the car again, the error didn't come back, but the automatic headlights weren't used. I did manually turn the lights on and off again before stopping so my guess is that this is a one-time-error.
I'll report back if I see it again.
