2017 C300: Start/stop a function of outside temperature?
My s/s hasn't been working for the last 6+ months. Tonight it worked. I noted that the outside temp was 78, whereas the temp here in SE FL is usually 80+ to 90. Could s/s be temp related?

Yes. It considers the A/C load related to temperature, and will not shut the engine off if the evap temperature isn't cool enough to compensate for the outside temp versus desired a/c setting temps. So if it's hotter outside, it shuts down less often and for shorter times. Perfectly normal.
Eco stop/start looks at a ton of parameters before deciding to shut down the engine. I think the full list is about 80 things.
