2017 c300 or c43 coupe reliability

I found a 2017 c43 with around 25k mileage without CPO and a 2017 CPO c300 with 7k mileage .

I really dig the c43 but according to Carfax it had two round of tire replacement and a wheel repair.. Tells me previous driver might have been aggressive with it.

I looked around everywhere but I dont see much long term reliability talk on these cars. Can anyone let me know how their Cs are doing?

Any water pump issue, control arm issue, gasket leakage, sensor problem, electronics problem over the 3 yr ownership?

Very good question ,very few owners use this forum . You could also try the c43 and c300 forums , which seems to be where most people post .
I can only reply based on my 2018 c43 cabrio ( essentially the same car as the coupe minus a roof ) . In 15 months and 15000 Km I've had no issues and only 1 visit to dealer for annual service.
Its a fantastic car and I would highly recommend it.
Hopefully this will generate some more responses for you .

2017 C300 Coupe (C205)
I have had ZERO problems with my 2017 C300.
I can't say the same for the '17 C63/S (I've only heard that second-hand).

The original RFs wore out at 11K miles, so tire wear is a given.
I've replaced mine with conventional tires and am hoping for better results.

I'm coming up on 3 years and I still love it. Very happy with my choice.
Looks great, runs great.

2017 C300 Coupe
I've driven 60,000 kms in my 2017 C300 Coupe and I've had it into the dealer 5 times (or more, starting to blur together) for warranty issues. Just had part of the steering mechanism replaced, had the drivers seat fixed. I've had transmission issues, an ongoing vibration / buzzing issue with the Burmester "premium" sound, classic Mercedes squealing brakes, a myriad of creaks and rattles, panel alignment problems. I had a GLK before this car, and it was rock solid. Won't be buying another Mercedes.

I read a bit about issues with C300 cars, I took one for a test drive but did not love the 4 cylinder engine sound.

2013 C300 Sport 4Matic (M276)
Hello blckcat, I have a C300 2017 Coupe 4Matic. No issues, just recalls that the dealership does for free. I am currently at 19,000 miles and near 2 years of ownership. I am due for an oil change and a tire rotation next month; First Service 1B. I mainly DIY everything. Very easy to work on the 4 banger. Emissions and inspection are also due for me in 2 months. Car has some normal quirks like during wet days or rainy days with lots of leaves on the road the front wheels will kind of skid/slip and make a "skrt skrt" sound. Sound goes away when you are driving straight on those wet/leafy days; it's just the sharp turns. I'm still on stock staggered wheels but will be switching soon to a square setup until the tread on these run-flats is done. Sometimes on bright sunny days the collision sensor will beep at you when you're not near anybody; I think this is from the light bouncing off of other objects not sure. Other than that it's a beautiful car, just be careful where you park! A door ding on that nice detailed line that goes across the side body of the C205 cost me $200 to fix. Was on the rear driver side quarter panel.

C300 Coupe
Alright ~ an Old Thread ~ BUT Finally ~ now that the 2017 is 6, going on 7 years Old . . . Hopefully we can get some Solid Input on just How Reliable the 2017 Coupe is . . . ( long term )

As a New to me Owner ~ with just 4 Months of Ownership of a 2017 ~ 4matic ~ Package 1 ~ AMG Trim ~ Nothing has failed or broken on me . . yet . . .

Purchased with 42,000 miles ~ now about turn 46,000 ~ I drive it pretty hard ( don't beat on it ) but push it somewhat aggressively getting around traffic on both Highway and Busy Streets

So far I'm impressed with the Performance of the mere 241 HP M274 4 Banger ~ Does it sound like a sewing machine at start up ? Yes, it does, but I turn on Burmester and think of with Decent fuel economy to deal with it

Was there a Sewn up Repair in the Driver's Seat of MB Tex I didn't notice until a week after purchase ? Yes, but the Seats are Comfy, well Supported, and Bolstered well

If I don't get in the Car Carfefully, can I jar the Side Bolster Loose and have to " Pop " it back in Seat Frame ? yes . .

Do I hear the Cable of the Gear Shifter ? ~ yes ( nature of a cable I suppose )

Is the Windshield " pitted " and really noticeable when driving into the Sun ? ~ yes, very much so

Car Came with a Fresher set Conti-trac MOE ( Mercedes Origian Equip ) Run Flats ~ Are they a Quiet Tire ? - NO. But they have plenty of tread and were manufactured 2021 as stamped

Do I notice the plastic side skirt cladding sometimes popped out in front of the Rear Wheel Well ? yes, put it " Pops " right back in place

Does the Seat Belt not retract and just puddle in the door sill ~ yes

Do I smell a Hot Oil Smell in the garage after 40 minute Hard Drive Home form Work ? yes, but no more so than any other car

Can I think of any other annoyances or nit picks right now ? NO

Does Car Impress Me ? YES

Do I feel Good Driving it ? YES

Do I think it will be a Reliable Car based on my 4 months so far ? ABSOLUTELY

OK ~ Other Owners want to Chime in with their Long Term ( or Short Term ) Analysis and Reviews ?
