How rare were HID lights on the W202?

How rare were HID lights on the W202?
I was looking at used cars online yesterday and found a CPO 2000 C280 with 61K on it for $17900 (this price seems very high to me, but I digress). The thing that really caught my eye was that it listed HID Xenon headlights as one of its options. Was this a rare option or am I likely to be able to find another one with HIDs easily?

yeah that is a pretty rare option for the non-C43 202's. I think the option was about $1100 in addition to a special order surcharge. Every once in a while I see one, but it is REALLY rare.
I think there is a '99 C280 sport on ebay with them now.

I've only seen one with my own eyes. I was driving on 1604 and saw a car on the access road that had HID's that looked really familiar. I looked a little harder and it was a non AMG w202 with HID's.

1999 W202 C230 Kompressor Sport
I've seen one here, but it had SSR GT3's and was lowered, so it was obviously modified. that being said, that price is really high. I paid 11.7k for my 99 230k sport with only 47k miles.

I've got a 1999 C280 Sport with factory auto leveling HIDs.
It also has the headlight wipers. (My 1999 C43 has neither.)
