Hit a deer. now car won't shift
 

Nice way to start evening out - hit a deer. Not much damage - grill, headlight crushed but now all dash warning lights will not go out and the car will not shift out of 1st gear.

is some there mechanical damage or do I need to reset the system?

Deer limped away.

After reading the manual, I am stuck in Emergency Operation/Limp Home Mode.

Is there anyway to reset this on my own?

:eek: at the deer, shoulda hit harder though so you put her in the trunk and make some dinner :D
well restarting the car should have cleared the limp mode, unless there's something more serious i think
have you checked underneath the car for any damage?
who knows maybe it's just some sensor
first thing i'd do is read the codes, if you don't have a scanner, then i hear autozone is the way to go before you attempt the dealer
