AMG 5-Spoke 170 info?
I really like the AMG 5-Spoke 170 wheels (the ones on 2000 C43 and CLK430 with AMG pack). Where can I purchase them? I went to tirerack.com they have it there but only 17*7.5 for the fronts and rears. I think there arent any 18s for this type of wheels but how about the 17*8.5 for the rears?
the car i am thinking of installing these is a 2000 model C280(not sport edition) another questions would be what kind of tires? Pirelli P-zero or michelin pilot?
thanks

The staggered setup is standard for all factory AMG tuned cars and cars equipped with AMG packages and that's why you find them configured like that. I have a staggered setup the same sizes as the ones you quoted with AMG Stlye III's right now (very similar to the one you are referring to). I run a 235/45 in the front and 255/40 in the rear. Ideal configuration for this is the same tire in the back but a 225/45 in the front. I run Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires and like them a lot. But for the price vs. performance, you really can't beat Pirelli.
could you post or PM me some pics of your car? Im just curious how style III's look on a C280. Mostlikely I will like those wheels as they are similar to 170s. Where did you purchase the wheels and how much? are they 17s or 18s?
thanks
