weird pedal and weird air system

hey, i just got a c220 the other day just wanna know if this is normal as i have not experianced this in other cars

- the accelerator pedal is hard and long. not reactive like other cars. i've noticed it in very old benzs, is this normal for the w202?

- the air acts weird. when u accelerate, the center vents cut off and the air blows at the windshield, when u let off the accelerator, it blows to the center vents. this happens in either auto or the manual option. normal?

thankx

Yes, the AC thing is normal. Under harder acceleration, the HVAC system automatically takes the air from the center vents off to conserve power for acceleration (kinda neat i guess). When you do not need the acceleration, it will blow the air out the center vents again as normal.

I don't think there are any solutions to this...its just the way the car was engineered to be I guess.
