Gas change.

I read somewhere online that in our mercedes gas should always be replenished with OEM gas. Anyone know anything about that? I went to the dealer and they said they didnt have any in stock so i have it on order.

There was a documentary I saw last year that was about gas in the U.S. It said that despite what gas companies want you to believe, all gas stations share the same gasoline -- it all comes out of the same couple of pipelines that everybody shares. The only difference is additives some places like Chevron put in the gas after it comes out of the pipeline. My benz manual says I shouldn't use gas with additives -- which is fine by me because Chevron is overpriced around here.

So my point I guess is that I would highly doubt that mercedes would have an "OEM Gasoline" that is any different from what I get at 7-11. Unless Mercedes is somehow finding different gasoline sources and trucking their OEM Gas all over the country ...

I use the OEM gas. I go to the dealer once a week to pick up 46 liters of it.

This is the wierdest discussion I've EVER heard. OEM gas???? What the ****???? Some one explain this? Say, can you use octane booster in Mercedes? It's an additive, so will it **** of the car?
